On 22-26 October 2018, JIAS and the Human Economy Programme at the University of Pretoria, in association with Disrupting Africa, hosted a ground-breaking Colloquium entitled ‘Digital Finance in Africa’s Future: Innovations and Implications’.
The Colloquium brought together African innovators in the field of digital finance as well as academics to discuss the latest developments in this rapidly expanding and increasingly important field. It was opened on Monday 22 October by Mr Trevor Manuel, former South African Minister of Finance.
Given its scope, a dedicated website has been created for the Colloquium. Among other things, it contains links to permanent webcasts of the opening as well as all the working sessions. To access the website, click here.
