This presentation examines two questions related to recent AI development and its implication for intelligence and learning. One is whether deep learning helps us understand the notion and underlying mechanism of intelligence. The other centers on the highly specialized nature of AI development and discusses comparative advantages of human and AI in the age of AI. The presentation rests upon literature ranging from learning types and theory, human learning pathways, expert/novice comparison, intelligence definition and core features, to AI development and methods.
