State of Dis-ease conference kicked-off on Monday 25 March at Emoyeni in Parktown. Hosted by the Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study the four-day conference’s centered around issues of health and illness in South Africa and, as such, drew the interest of people in the health and medical industries including students and members of the public. Minister of Science and Technology, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubani, delivered the keynote address.
